– The Archbishop's Spirit Award –
The Spirit Award recognise a school's outstanding support for, and positive participation in, LifeLink Day.
It is not awarded on the basis of how much money your school raises.
It is presented to the school which comprehensively:
- Demonstrates active support for the Archbishop?s LifeLink Day Initiative.
- Embraces the goals of LifeLink Day; to learn about what the Church?s response to people in need is within our community, and to undertake some form of fundraising to support agencies funded through LifeLink.
- Is committed to educating students on their responsibility to care for those less fortunate in our community.
- Promotes an ethos of caring and compassion to students, teachers, parents and the wider community. That we all have a responsibility to show love and compassion not just on LifeLink Day, but every day.

2009 Winner!
Xavier Catholic School in Hilbert was selected as a worthy recipient of the 2009 Award.
The school held its inaugural "Morning Melodies for LifeLink" event.
The St Francis Xavier Parish community joined in to help make the occasion so special and successful.
The event was such an innovative idea and one which wholly embraced the Archbishop's concept for LifeLink Day – that it would be an occasion to draw school communities together to have fun but at the same time, help educate our young people on the work of LifeLink agencies, which reach-out to care for people in need throughout WA. The school raised over $700 for LifeLink Day which is a fantastic achievement.
We congratulate Mrs Bauer, all the teachers and students at Xavier Catholic School
